PLATEAU STATE: THE TIME TO RETURN TO THE UMBRELLA IS NOW

By Dr. Samaila Achigak A. Rukuba.

As we continue our statewide consultations across Plateau, engaging communities and stakeholders with sincerity and purpose, it behoves us to reassure the enthusiastic grassroots that their confidence in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is well placed. Their commitment to the PDP is not a mistake; it is a choice founded on hope, history, and the enduring ideals of democratic governance.

The warm reception being accorded to the PDP in every corner of Plateau State reflects a growing conviction that the party remains a credible platform for unity, inclusion, peace, and sustainable development.

For nearly 28 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria, the PDP has remained one of the country’s foremost political parties, contributing significantly to nation-building, democratic consolidation, economic reforms, infrastructure development, educational advancement, healthcare improvements, and institutional growth. On the Plateau, the PDP played a major role in laying foundations for peacebuilding, infrastructure, education, agriculture, and human capital development that continue to impact the lives of our people.

As we move from community to community, our message is simple: remain steadfast, remain hopeful, and remain united under the Umbrella. Better days are ahead, and together we shall build a Plateau that is peaceful, prosperous, secure, and progressive.

History is a faithful teacher. Every citizen has the right to make a political choice, but wise choices are guided by experience, performance, and proven capacity. Those who ignore history risk repeating avoidable mistakes.

PDP TsaK!

Be wise. Be guided. May wise counsel prevail among Plateau people.
