There was chaos on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday morning after a truck overturned on Otedola Bridge.

According to officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the accident occurred around 7:00 a.m.

The truck, which was transporting two 20-foot containers, blocked nearly 90% of the roadway, leaving only a single lane open.

Motorists heading towards Lagos are faced with severe delays.

The incident has caused heavy traffic congestion, prompting LASTMA officers to rush to the scene to manage traffic and assist stranded drivers.

A recovery vehicle has also been dispatched to remove the overturned truck and clear the road.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes until the road is fully reopened.
