I would have shot you over Tinubu’s one-party comment

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has claimed he would have “broken his TV screen and shot” Channels Television’s presenter, Seun Okinbaloye, over his comments that a one-party system would destroy democracy in Nigeria.

Seun was talking about the African Democratic Congress, ADC, after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, decided to remove their leadership.

He expressed concern about what’s happening in Nigerian politics.

According to him, ADC bigwigs should have noticed the issues raised by INEC and the court and dealt with it before now.

Wike, reacting to Seun’s comments, during a media meeting in Abuja on Friday, said: “I was really shocked the other day. When I was watching Seun’s Politics today.

“If there was any way to break the screen, I would have shot him. How can an interviewer say we can’t allow a one-party state.”
