Kaduna: Rebecca Barde withdraws from Kachia constituency race

As part of political realignment, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC), state Assembly primaries in Kaduna state, the aspirant for Kachia Constituency seat, Hon. Rebecca Barde, has officially withdrawn from the race.

A statement signed by Hon. Rebecca Barde’s Campaign Organisation, said her decision was taken in the overall interest of peace, unity, and progress of the party, stressing that politics should always be about the people and the collective interest of society.

“Politics is about the people and the interest of ensuring a united front for growth and development. Against this background, I have decided to withdraw from the race to give peace and unity within the party a chance.” the statement said 

She expressed appreciation to her supporters, party leaders, stakeholders, and members across the constituency for their encouragement, loyalty, and unwavering support throughout her consultations and political engagements.

The statement reaffirmed her commitment to the ideals and vision of the party.

She called on her supporters and party faithful to remain calm, united, and committed to the collective aspiration of building a stronger and more prosperous party ahead of future elections.
