World Cup 2026: ‘They’re X-factor’

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has identified two players who could help England win the World Cup tournament this year.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Merson feels England have every chance of winning the World Cup because of ‘X-factor players,’ Bellingham and captain, Harry Kane.

He stated this after the Three Lions defeated Norway in the quarter-final on Saturday to qualify for the World Cup semi-final stage.

Speaking about England’s chances of winning the World Cup, Merson said,

“We have an X-factor player in Jude Bellingham, and also Harry Kane. We have X-factor in abundance with those two.

“When you have players like that, you always have a chance of winning tournaments,” he said.

England will take on Argentina in the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday for a place in the final.
