Carabao Cup final: Ian Wright reveals who to blame as Arsenal lost 2-0 to Man City

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright, has said Kepa Arizzabalaga’s error for Manchestester City’s first goal in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The first half had ended goalless at Wembley, with the first big chance falling to Kai Havertz, who saw his weak effort saved by James Trafford.

But in the second half, City took the lead after Kepa fumbled a cross and Nico O’Reilly headed the ball in.

O’Reilly then scored a second header as Pep Guardiola’s men claimed the first piece of silverware of the season.

Wright, speaking on Sky Sports, said: “In the end it all just fell in on Arsenal.

“The goalkeeper mistake handed it to City. Disappointing, that was a really poor performance.”
