Strait of Hormuz: End hostility now, stop making demands

Russia has called on United States President Donald Trump to end hostility with Iran and stop making demands.

Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, made this call on Friday while fielding questions in an interview on state television.

Lavrov said, “The day before yesterday, President Trump mentioned that as soon as we end the hostilities, and he says that almost all the goals are accomplished, then right away, the navigation in the Strait of Hormuz will go back to normalcy.

“So it means that you don’t need to demand anything from Iran.

“You need to put an end to hostilities, and then the Strait of Hormuz would go back to the normalcy based on the navigation convention maritime laws that defines all the navigation requirements during the peaceful times.

“This is because it does not regulate what’s happening there during the time of war.”
