The first legs of the Champions League quarter-final were played on Tuesday night.

At the Santiago Bernabeu, Bayern Munich pulled off a 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

It was the Bundesliga champions who took the lead in the first half, as Luis Diaz finished off Serge Gnabry’s pass.

Harry Kane doubled Bayern’s lead only 20 seconds after the restart, as they seized control of the tie.

Madrid pulled one back through Kylian Mbappe, but have it all to do at the Allianz Arena next week.

In the other game, Kai Havertz squeezed in a 91st minute winner, as Arsenal edged Sporting 1-0.
