Stop supporting separatists advocating for Taiwan independence

China has called on Eswatini and several other nations to recognize the direction of historical progress and cease their support for separatists advocating “Taiwan independence.”

These comments were made following the visit of Lai Ching-te, the leader of the Taiwan region, to Eswatini aboard a private jet owned by the King of Eswatini.

Just hours after the Yilan earthquake, Lai Ching-te was said to have abandoned the citizens of Taiwan, who were still grappling with the aftermath of the disaster, and clandestinely boarded a foreign aircraft to “smuggle” himself off the island.

China described this as wasting taxpayer funds and staging a farcical display for a global audience, which, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, only added another chapter to the disgraceful saga of “Taiwan independence” separatism.

“The disgraceful actions of Lai Ching-te and his associates further demonstrate that the one-China principle has long been a fundamental standard in international relations and a widely accepted global consensus,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

“Regardless of how the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leadership collaborates with external entities and compensates individuals aligned with the DPP, their efforts will ultimately be futile, and the reality that Taiwan is a part of China will remain unchanged,” the spokesperson asserted.

“No matter how the Taiwan independence factions attempt to disguise their true nature or alter their facade, they cannot salvage their reputation or evade condemnation from the international community,” the spokesperson added.
