Coventry City have confirmed they have signed Frank Onyeka on a permanent transfer, DAILY POST reports.

Onyeka linked up with the Sky Blues on loan from Brentford in January.

Coventry City triggered the option to make the deal permanent following their promotion to the Premier League.

Frank Lampard’s side will pay Brentford €8m for the defensive midfielder.

Onyeka played a key role in Coventry’s promotion to the top-flight.

The 28-year-old recorded one goal, and one assist in 14 Championship appearances for the club.

He has been nominated for Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for April.
