Two aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kebbi State, Senator Bala Ibn Na’All and Sani M. Kabiru, have withdrawn from the party’s senatorial primary elections scheduled for Monday May 18, 2026.
Na’All, a former senator representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, announced his withdrawal in a letter addressed to the APC State Chairman in Birnin Kebbi.
He said the decision was informed by what he described as credible information regarding the party’s disposition ahead of the primaries, allegedly influenced by directives from higher authorities.
Na’All, a founding member of the APC, said he has spent over 14 years contributing to the growth of the party at both state and national levels. He also thanked his supporters for their backing during his aspiration.
Similarly, Sani Kabiru, an aspirant for the Kebbi Central Senatorial District seat, also withdrew from the race, citing personal, political, and strategic reasons.
In his letter, Kabiru expressed appreciation to party leaders, his campaign team, and supporters, and reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC.
He pledged continued support for the party’s activities and future electoral engagements.
