Galatasaray midfielder, Renato Nhaga, has disclosed that teammate, Victor Osimhen, helped him to settle in the Turkish Super Lig club.

Speaking in an interview via Le Marca Sports, the 19-year-old said that the Super Eagles striker always protected him and encouraged him since his arrival in Turkey.

The Guinea-Bissau international described Osimhen as a role model for African players, adding that the Nigerian international came from nothing to become an icon in the sport.

“Osimhen is a very important figure for both me and all African players,” Nhaga said.

“He is someone who came from nothing and made it all the way here. He is a huge role model.

“He’s been supporting me from day one. He welcomed me very warmly. He always looks out for me and protects me.”

Nhaga joined Galatasaray from Casa Pia in January this year.
