Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today, July 28, 2026: Nigerian Naira extends depreciation against US Dollar

The naira extended its depreciation against the US dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira further weakened to N1,365.53 per dollar on Tuesday, down from N1,362.21 per dollar recorded on Monday.

This means the Nigerian currency depreciated by N3.32 against the dollar on a day-to-day basis.

Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira remained unchanged at N1,410 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate recorded on Monday.

The development comes as the country’s foreign reserves dropped for the first time in weeks to $51.96 billion on July 27, 2026, down from $52.02 billion recorded on Friday, July 24, according to data from the apex bank.

Recall that the naira had already depreciated against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, beginning the week on a negative note.
