Enyimba goalkeeper Dede Dare insists that the team will have a successful campaign despite the mass exodus of players from the club.

DAILY POST recalls that the People’s Elephant lost most of their key players at the end of last season.

The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions have recruited new players to fill the vacuum left by the departed players.

Dare emphasised that building a successful team requires players who are willing to work and not those who need to be pushed.

“I’ve said it before, if you have to force them to carry the bricks, they’re not the ones to build with,” Dare was quoted as saying by the club’s media.

“Simple as that, we move on with the ones who want to be here.”

Enyimba suffered a 2-1 defeat against Niger Tornadoes in their opening fixture of the new season.

They will be up against Shooting Stars in their next game in Aba.
